Pair of cottages and entranceway: dated 1927 by Clough Williams-Ellis
for Richard Barbour. Partly stuccoed Flemish bond red brick, hipped
green slate roof and 4 brick chimneys. Neo-Palladian style.
Rectangular plan. 2-storey, symmetrical 7-bay front. Central 3 bays
has a detached Tetrastyle portico using the order of the Tower of
Winds. In the triangular pediment is a plaque reading RB 1927.
Behind is a semi-circular headed entrance to a passageway and flush
15-pane sashes below, 12-pane above. Similar sashes in the remainder.
End bays of 1-storey below a curving brick ramp, end in plain square
pilasters with urn finials.
The centrepiece of a late example of estate cottage building of which
Nos 3 and 4 Rose Corner, and Rosemary Row opposite, were also a part.
