Canal aqueduct over the River Calder. Dated 1797, W. Jessop and W. Crossley
engineers. Large dressed stone. 4 segmental arches with keystones with bull-
nosed breakwaters with pitch faced stone piers over. Parapet has carved head
to keystone and bears date. Band and parapet with large cappings. An
impressive engineering feat adjacent to the centre of Hebden Bridge.
