2 cottages, formerly 1. C17. Timber framed with whitewashed rendered brick
nogging, granite rubble stone plinth and C20 tile roof with 2 brick ridge stacks,
1 truncated. 2 storeys of 3 C20 windows. On ground floor, from left, a glazed
door, C20 window, glazed door with small canopy, C20 window and glazed door.
On right end exposed timber framing. Wall posts with straight braces, tie beams,
collars and clasped principal rafters. Inside, part of framing exposed where
also beams, some chamfered, and plaster hoods to fireplaces, one fire place
with arched lintel, and later moulded beam above cupboard within fireplace area.
Rear section of Nos. 46 - 50, Market Place (q.v.) also originally part of this
building.
