Farmhouse, probably late C18. Flemish bond brown brickwork with grey
slate roof. 3 storeys, 3 windows, symmetrical. Front open-pediment
gable almost full width of house, with short slightly recessed wings,
has full-height round-arched recess containing 6-panel door with
radial bar fanlight in recessed moulded wood surround with 6-pane
cross-casement to landing and 4-pane replaced casement to 3rd storey;
9-pane 3-light cross-casement to 1st and second storey to each side,
and 6-pane 3-light casement to 3rd storey. Flat gauged brick arches
to window openings. Wooden cornice with corbel blocks. Marks on left
gable end indicate removal of former 2-storey wing. C20 extension at
rear.
Interior: Late Georgian stair of 1 flight per storey, oak in lower
flight, softwood in upper flight, has open string with shaped
brackets, stick balusters and curtail.
