with front garden walls
and gate-piers

Pair of Estate Cottages. Dated: B with a crown over, 1860. (Duke of Bedford
estate). Dressed rubble walls, with a chamfered stone plinth. Plat band with
dogtooth brickwork below. Slate roof with gable-ends, and 2 small gables to
front elevation. Brick stack at centre ridge. 2 storeys. 4 windows, 3-light
cast-iron casements (lozenge pattern) to ground floor, 2-light of the same type
to first floor. Returned labels over, and stone cills. Front doors at left
and right hand ends of front elevation, each with 6 recess panels, C19. Porches,
of wood with 2 forward posts and triangular head-over. Spear-finial through
the top. Front garden sleeper-wall with iron railings over and intact square
stone gate-piers and cushion capital heads.
