Former Parish Church, now declared redundant. 1858 chancel, 1867 remainder,
by John Hicks of Dorchester. Snecked dressed stone walls with ashlar quoins.
Slate roofs with stone gable-copings with moulded kneelers, and crosses at
apices. Integral gabled porch with stone bellcote over, gabled and with bell
in situ. Nave with north aisle. Chancel. North porch. Single storey.
Chancel, of 2 bays with single chamfered lancets and lozenge-leaded lights.
3 stepped lancets to east end, plain. North doorway, pointed, has a plank
door with strap hinges. Nave, 4 bays, single chamfered lancets on south side.
North aisle, with separately pitched roof, has 3 grouped lancets. North porch,
immediately west of north aisle has an entrance with pointed segmental head of
2 chamfered orders, the inner dying into the jambs. Lancet-light over. Doorway
into church, pointed-arch, chamfered, plank door with original strap hinges.
Interior: arch-braced open roof; wooden screen closes off north aisle (possibly
for school room). Contemporary fittings, except font, probably C13 but heavily
recut.
