Factory offices, Art Deco style c.1923, built by the Smedley
family. Moulded stone and brown brick. Two storeys and
basement, symmetrical facade. Stepped pediment with sunk
panelled quoins rising above parapet with relief, contoured,
geometric designs. Deep frieze with 'National Canning Company
Ltd.' lettering removed. Enriched cornice to parapet. Windows
with metal glazing bars of various sizes, symmetrically
positioned in two storey brick panels flanking main entrance.
Stone plinth. Entrance bay, including first floor window with
key block of stone, with stepped and recessed panels.
Horizontal, segmental shaped canopy supported by fanned key
block to doorway, and original two panelled, double-doors.
