Single stone of uncertain date bears inscription to 2 adjoining faces
the letters 'A' have a cross bar, characteristic of C17 script and may date
from the C17.

Upon the top of the shaft there are the letters
"BG
TB" (this is upside down)
which may possibly be boundary marks. It is on an ancient packhorse route.
