House, formerly farmhouse and Public House; late C16, extended early C17. 3
cell lobby-entrance plan, 1 1/2 storeys and attics. Timber-framed and
rendered. Pantiled roof with gabled casement dormers; axial chimneys of red
brick. Mainly C19 casements. C20 lean-to porch and flush entrance door.
Timber-framing exposed internally; open back-to-back fireplaces to hall and
former parlour. Clasped purlin roof. A further cell added C17 to east end
beyond the parlour. Known as the Fox and Hounds P.H., c.1900. In poor
condition.
