Public House: early-mid C18 with C19 alterations and extensive C19
and C20 additions to the rear. Flemish bond red brick with painted
stone dressings, Welsh slate roof and 1 central ridge chimney.
3-storey, symmetrical 3-bay front. Rusticated quoins (not to full
height), band at 1st floor. End bays have C19 3-light casements with
cambered brick heads and stone keyblocks, except for the top storey,
where the roof has been raised 13 courses, to include simple
casements. Moulded doorcase with panelled soffits has segmental hood
on cut brackets. Large brick extensions to the rear are of no special
interest.
Interior: 3-board door to staircase, exposed ceiling beams.
