Public house. Mid-late C18 with later rear wing and alterations. Brick,
rough rendered to ground floor, remainder colourwashed. Plain tile roof.
L-shaped on plan: 2-room central entrance hall front with wing to rear eight
and outshut in angle. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Stucco quoins to
ground floor. Two-fold part-glazed panelled door in doorcase with panelled
pilasters, frieze and flat hood on brackets, flanked by 4-pane sashes in
flush wood architraves with stucco cills. First floor band incorporating
painted name on frieze over entrance. Smaller similar first floor sashes.
Painted inn sign suspended from bracket to left of centre. Stepped and
cogged brick eaves cornice. Brick coped and tumbled gables. End stacks.
Interior contains beamed ceilings. Included for group value.
