House dated 1637 with added early C19 barn. Large dressed stone, smaller coursed to barn, stone slate roof, blue slate to one side of roof. Two storeys. Hall-and-crosswing three-room plan with through passage. Gabled crosswing has copings, kneelers and crocketed finial to apex. Quoins. Ten-light C19 flat faced mullioned windows to three floors. Basement windows blocked. Right hand return wall of wing has doorway with lintel inscribed "1637 AG". Housebody has unusual stepped window with taller central light of seven lights with chamfered mullions. Through-passage doorway has composite jambs and chamfered surround. Single arched light over to first floor. Six-light window with four-light double chamfered mullioned window to first floor. Rear has through-passage doorway with large monolithic lintel and chamfered surround.
Attached is gabled building with columbarium to apex and two-light chamfered mullioned windows in north wall with taking-in door to first floor (blocked). Barn at right angles has stilted arched cart entry with simple Venetian window over.
Interior of barn has three bays with softwood queen-post trusses. Interior of house not inspected.
