Farmbuilding with cartshed and attached stable. c1805 by Peter Atkinson (York)
for Edward Lascelles, 1st Earl of Harewood. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate
roof. 2-storey front, single-storey rear using slope of ground. 7 bays with
3-bay stable attached to 1st bay at right angles. Ground floor has windows
alternating with doorways all with monolithic lintels, three 1st-floor windows
with projecting sills and remains of 12-pane Yorkshire sashes. Coped gables
with kneelers. Gable stack to right. Stable, right return: 2 stable doors left
of a window. Rear: 6 bays separated by square-cut ashlar piers.
