House, early Cl9, gothicised probably circa 1830. Pebble-dashed brick
with grey slate roofs. L-shaped with modillion open-pediment gables
and modillion eaves. Some labels to window openings. Door (in angle
of L) and windows in left end gable altered. Front gable (right) has
near-flush 12-pane sashes; it forms the left stop to a
near-symmetrical terrace of otherwise Georgian vernacular cottages
(see Nos.3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 New Road).
