Gateway dated 1765 but possibly late C17. Large dressed stone walls with
composite jambs, cyma moulded surround with date on lintel. Ovolo moulded
coping. 2 flights of stone flagged steps with 1/2 landing have cast iron
railings. Adjacent is small stone building with monopitch stone slate roof with
quoins and doorway approached from the landing. This has monolithic jamb and
one with tie-stone. Of indeterminate use but possibly a privy for the school (q.v.).
