Row of 8 cottages. Probably early C18; altered C20. Limestone rubble with wooden
lintels; thatch roofs. Single-unit plans, extended to rear. Nos.16 to 19 have
one window to each floor plus the entrance, No.15 has 2 first-floor windows, and
No.20 has 2 windows at each floor plus a central doorway; all have renewed
casements, and the first-floor windows have been raised to half-dormers. No.21
has 2 renewed casements at ground and first floors, a central doorway, and an
old leaded 3-light dormer. No.22 has a 3-window front with tall casements in
bays one and 2; bay 3 projects as a 2-storey porch with a small first-floor
window. The continuous roof has rebuilt ridge stacks except for the gable stack
to No.22 which is of rubble with a blue-brick cap. Interiors not inspected. An
unusually long row of early cottages.
