Chest tomb. c1723. Ashlar. Memorial to "Elizabeth late wife of John Stable
of Stank" who died 19th February 1723 aged 48, and to their son James who died
10th March 1723 aged 14. Set on a hollowed chamfered plinth with 3 false raised-
and-fielded panels to the long sides and a single panel to the ends. The top
has good lettering set within a decorative border with hour-glasses to base,
channelled border with arched head the imposts carved with crossed bones, the
keystone with a skull and the spandrels with winged heads.
