GV II
4 headstones. c.1700. Marlstone. Small stones have shield-shaped panels below
shaped heads, each of which features a cross standing on a skull flanked by
crossed bones. The inscriptions are partly illegible but include the dates 1692,
1695 and 1704. The use of the cross is very unusual before the mid C19 and may
indicate a Recusant connection.
