Barn, stables and cartshed. Late C18. Coursed squared limestone rubble with
wooden lintels; light timber framing with brick infill; Welsh-slate roofs.
L-shaped range. The 4-bay cartshed has timber-framing above the open front but
the sides and rear are stone; its shallow-pitched roof is half-hipped to left.
To right the lower stable section has 2 stable doors, 3 windows, and 2 loft
doors, one approached by brick external steps which also serve the cartshed
loft. The 4-bay barn projecting from the right and has a porch plus opposed
full-height doors, and has slits in the other bays; the main roof is half hipped
but there is a full hip over the porch. An unaltered range forming, with
Dovecote Farmhouse (q.v.), the hub of the village.
