Potash kiln. Kiln recorded at this site in C16 and not later than c.1800.
Stone rubble. Round structure built into slope of ground. Entrance to tunnel
with roof sloping down to inside. Top overgrown and partly collapsed. A rare
example of an early industrial structure, sometimes confused with limekilns.
The potash industry collapsed c.1800.
