Tomb slab. Dated 1679, C20 surround. Sandstone ashlar. Plain rectangular
slab with incised border and cross, later surround. "I K/ Dyed the 22 August/
Anno Do/ 1679". Commemorates John Kemble, martyr, a Catholic priest, aged 80,
executed in 1679 as a result of agitation occasioned by the Titus Oates
plot, beatified in 1929 and canonized in 1970.
