Large house. Circa 1854 - Thomas Allom. Four storeys plus basement. Three windows
wide. Symmetrical. Stuccoed with channelling to ground floor. Twin columned central
entrance portico approached by steps. To each side are segmental bays rising through
basement ground and first floors. Continuous bombe balcony to first floor. Heavy
consoled cornice between second and third floors. Crowning cornice and blocking
course. Single and double storeyed extension to the west. Balustraded boundary wall
to front. The interior, particularly the first floor rooms in a lavish 'French' style
are in a remarkably fine state of preservation.
Forms part of symmetrical composition with Nos 36, 38 and 40 Ladbroke Grove.
