Farmhouse. Mid- to late C17 with probably late C18, mid- to late C19, and
C20 additions. Timber framed with painted brick nogging, and red brick
additions; plain tile roofs, catslide over partial outshut to north.
Irregular U-plan. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic. Dentil brick eaves cornice;
integral brick end stack to right, brick ridge stack off-centre to left
and integral lateral brick stack to left. Framing: square panels, 4 from
sole-plate to wall-plate. 3-window front; first-floor C19 three-light
wooden casements; ground-floor C19 two- and 3-light wooden casements with
depressed-arched heads, that to left with C20 French casements; boarded
door between first and second windows from right, and C20 hipped-roofed
brick porch with half-glazed door and side-lights. Salop Fire Insurance
plate (No. 190) between first and second first-floor windows from right.
One-storey service block set back to right with segmental-headed 3-light
wooden casement and segmental-headed boarded door with hipped-roofed porch
in angle to left. C20 lean-to to right. Timber framed wing at rear has
collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts and V-struts exposed in gable
end. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest. National
