The Queen's Tea House, Osborne Estate

This was originally in part of the grounds of Osborne House but is now in
private ownership. Building of circa 1850 in Italianate style, consisting of
a boat-house and tea-house combined. Boat-house on the ground floor with round-headed
arch. Curved steps lead up on each side of it to the 1st floor room above with
a terrace over it, and in the centre of this is a 2-storey tower with round
window and bracket eaves cornice. Modern pantiled roof and renewed parapet.
Five modern windows with new shutters. Doorcase with cornice and brackets.
Queen Victoria frequently took tea on the terrace of this building. Included for
historical interest.
