GV II

Cottage. Late C17 with late C19 alterations. Timber framed with painted
brick nogging, refaced in painted brick and eaves raised to south in C19;
slate roof. Baffle-entry plan of 2 framed bays. One storey and attic.
Central brick ridge stack; late C19 gabled semi-dormer off-centre to right
with segmental-headed 3-light wooden casement. Framing: square panels, 3
from sole-plate to wall-plate. 3-window front; central C19 three-light
wooden casement and flanking 2-light casements; boarded door between first
and second windows from left with C19 ogee-shaped corrugated iron bracketed
hood. Collar and tie-beam truss with pair of queen struts and V-struts in
left-hand gable end; pair of possibly re-used C17 crucks in right-hand
gable end. Curious partial jetty to first floor at rear, possibly a late
C19 alteration. Interior: pairs of chamfered spine beams, and chamfered
