House. C17 origins, reworked C18 and C19. Ground floor and N gable end
rebuilt in C18 brick, elsewhere colourwashed roughcast over timber frame.
Clay tile roof, hipped to NW and SW. U-plan, of 2 storeys and attics. E
elevation central block has main entrance, with round-arched doorway under
round-arched hood projecting beyond brick supports on decorated brackets.
This replaces an earlier larger gabled porch. Variety of windows, including a
hipped dormer, mostly C19 and C20 casements. W elevation, refenestrated C19
has 2 canted bays to RH of ground floor, casement windows elsewhere, and 3
hipped dormers. Red brick multiple ridge stack between 2 RH bays serving
substantial back-to-back hearth.
