Included Nos 2, 4 and 6 Upper House Street. Early C19 public house. Two-storeys
painted sandstone "brick". Four bay front; 2 single light squared surround
windows above doorway and flanking full height brows of 3 square mullioned lights.
Shallow frieze and moulded eaves cornice carried across first floor sill band.
Pilastered doorway. Stone slate roof with flanking corniced chimneys. Rear wing
comprising former cottages; 2 light square mullion windows and squared jamb
doorways.
