Circa 1850-55 substantial 2 storey Italianate stucco villa with recessed wing
on left partially screened by yard screen wall linking the coach house. Three
bay symmetrical main front. Plinth; rusticated quoins; entablature between
storeys with 1st floor sill course reading as parapet coping; bed mould to
frieze with guttae consoles and diamond faceted metopes; boxed flat eaves
to low hipped slate roof; corniced chimey stacks and square pots. Ground
floor window have panelled strip frame rising from plinth, with elongated
consoles to cornices above friezes with rinceaux cartouches. First floor
windows have corniced architraves with small volutes to feet and blind pierced
balustrade panels below sill course; large fluted Corinthian column porch
with rinceaux cartouche to frieze, projecting cornice and low blind pierced
parapet. The screen wall to yard links the coach house which is of 2 storeys
with slightly battered walls, low gabled roof.
