G.V. II

Lodge to Battlefields House, now house. 1836, signed by Charles Dyer, architect,
with C20 alterations and additions. Coursed rubble and ashlar, slate roofs with
stepped raised coped verges and cross finial to front gable; rear addition rendered
with asbestos slate roof. T-plan, Tudor style. Single storey, front has blocked
door with window inserted, pointed arch with moulded surround, quatrefoils in
spandrels, drip mould and cornice, armorial shield with circular inscription in
gable, dated and signed by architect. Left return has 1:1 windows, both 2-light,
multi-pane with margin glazing, and single light to former entrance hall, bolection-
moulded surround and leaded lights, similar shield in gable, C20 basement window to
left. Right return as left with C20 panelled and glass door; rear has 1½ storey
extension, one window, small coped gabled to each side, garage door with oriel over
to rear. Interior: not inspected.
