Shop. C18 origins; remodelled in late C19. Rendered, with
brick corbel eaves course on Wheelgate front; pantile roofs,
with coped gable and shaped kneeler to right of Wheelgate
front; brick ridge stacks, on St Michael Street range and at
left end of Wheelgate range. Shop entrance on Wheelgate. St
Michael Street front has 2-storey-and-attic gable wall to
left, with 2-storey 3-window range to right. Paired
part-glazed doors at right end. Remainder of ground floor
occupied by return of Wheelgate shopfront. On first floor,
paired casements at left end, and two 16-pane sashes flanking
12-pane sash at right end. Sashes have cambered heads and
incised wedge lintels. Small 4-pane attic sash in gable end.
Wheelgate front: 2 storeys, 2 windows. Late C19 double
shopfront between grooved pilasters with enriched imposts,
fascia and moulded cornice on grooved consoles. Glazed double
doors with louvred overlight recessed between square bay
plate-glass windows with slim glazing bars. First-floor
windows are 2-light casements with incised wedge lintels.
