Mid C18 town house. Two storeys. Double fronted with 5 windows. Hipped slate
roof. Red brick with stone dressings. Moulded cornice and coped parapet. String
at 1st floor level. Architraved sash windows with glazing bars. Good doorcase
with panelled pilasters and enriched console-brackets carrying pediment.
Architraved doorway with elliptical decorated fanlight and raised and fielded panel
door. At rear, late C18 south-west wing with hipped tile roof. Interior with good
dog-leg (renewed) staircase with dado panelling, tuned balusters, fluted column
newels and moulded handrail. Early C19 decorated plaster cornice in hall. On
1st floor in 2 rooms is C18 painted panelling and in another room on the north side
is some re-used and painted early C17 oak panelling. In south-west 1st floor room
is a late C18 'Adam' marble fireplace and a painted plaster ceiling and frieze.
