SW 93 NW VERYAN VERYAN

8/151 Lodge at approximately 100 metres
- north-west of Trist House

GV II

Lodge, probably originally a farm building. Converted possibly circa 1834.
Slatestone rubble with reused granite Gothic details and Delabole slate roof with wide
eaves and wide verges. Cusped and ogee barge-boards and plaster soffits. 2 room
plan. 2 storeys. 2 window west front. Central door with shallow porch and reused
pointed arched doorframe rising into gable. Finial coping to ridge. Piscina like
recess with cusped arch within porch. Single light cusped arched window to left with
single light trefoil headed window with hoodmould over, probably C15. Similar 2-light
windows to right. Straight joint to left of first floor right window indicates former
door position. Leaded glazing to windows is to original decorative pattern. Rose
window to north gable with quatrefoil detail and leaded glazing. Single light C15
reused window to south gable.
