Pair of attached houses, now shops. C18. Render with limestone
dressings and a pantile hipped roof. Double-depth plan. 3
storeys; 2-window range. two C20 shop fronts separated by a
central doorway, a cornice and parapet; shallow right-hand
oriel and left-hand C20 casement, and second-floor windows
with cambered heads and 5 stepped voussoirs to right-hand
8/8-pane sashes and left-hand C20 casements. The central
through-passage is flagged, with some panelling to the left of
the entrance, opposite a good 2-panel door hung upside down.
INTERIOR: No.12, vaulted basement with steps up to the front
area and a spiral stair from the passage; a narrow, central,
open-well winder stair with stick balusters and newels;
2-panel doors and plastered beams.
