Terrace of houses. Planned 1828, started about 1835. Stucco. Slate mansards.
3 storeys, attic, attic mansard and basement. Each house 2 windows wide. Centre
and end houses one window wide and set forward slightly, with paired giant
pilasters to first and second floors. Channelling to ground floor. Square
headed entrances and windows. Panelled doors. Centre and end houses with first
floor windows set in segmental arched reveals. Cast iron first floor balconies
of anthemion pattern. Sashes. Some glazing bars, some plate glass. French
windows to first floor. Cornice above second floor; subsidiary cornice above
third floor. Cast iron spearhead area railings. Return also of interest.
Integral part of planned development.
