School. Dated 1887. Red brick with moulded brick dressings and
plain-tile roof with wooden lantern with lead ogee roof.
Flemish Gothic style. Single storey. 10-window range in all of
small-paned windows. Facing gables at either end, and a pair
of smaller gables in centre. Projecting porch to right with
basket-arched moulded doorway and double leaf plank doors.
Above is a moulded plaque inscribed CHRISTCHURCH SCHOOLS 1887.
Here and a feature of the whole front are moulded string
courses and decorative hood moulds. Buttresses and
buttress-like panels between the windows. On the roof ridge, a
wood and lead lantern with ogee roof and spirelet.
