GV II

Group of 3 small town houses. Mid to later C19; altered. Red
brick in Flemish bond (No.9 now painted white), with sandstone
dressings and slate roof. Double-depth plan, Nos 9 and 10
built halls-adjoning, and No.11 on wedge-shaped plot adjoining
No.12 to right; with individual back extensions. Two storeys
over cellars, 2+2+2 windows, with plain frieze and moulded
gutter cornice, and No.11 canted back to the right of the
door. Nos 9 and 10 have coupled doorways in architraves with
one moulded cornice on consoles and 2 shallow triangular
upstands, and altered doors with overlights; No.11 has a
matching doorway, with panelled door. No.9 has 12-pane
unhorned sashed windows and No.11 has 16-pane unhorned sashes
in the canted portion to the right, but all other windows have
altered glazing; all windows have raised sills and wedge
lintels. Ridge and gable chimneys. Rear and INTERIOR not
inspected.
