Hospital. Built 1869 with additions 1875 by Thomas
Worthington in Gothic Revival style. Red brick with blue
brick and ashlar dressings. Slate pitched and hipped roofs,
tall decorated chimney stacks and decorated eaves cornice.
E-plan. 3-storey side wings with bay windows, ground floor
open arcades and stone coped gables above. Windows
throughout are plate glass sashes, some with pointed heads.
Central section added 1875, 2-storey with hipped roof, 3-
storey light window in 5-bay arcade on first floor, and
angle buttresses. Terrace wall and steps joining side
wings. Lower ranges of outbuildings to rear.
