SW 83 NE RUAN LANIHORNE

7/21 Trenestrall Farm buildings
- approx. 35 metres north of
Trenestrall Farmhouse
GV II

Range of planned farm buildings. Early and mid C19. Slatestone and sandstone with
some granite quoins and scantle slate and Delabole slate hipped roofs. Long
rectangular range with wing to east of north end and large horse engine house wing
midway on east side and further wing to south of this. Single storey and 2 storey.
Implement shed with open east side supported on round stone piers to south end, then
2 storey part with wing, taller 2 storey barn with steep hipped roof possibly pre
1800 and the oldest part with 2 storey horse engine house with low pitched roof
built in front. Some glazing survives in one of the pair of circular first floor
windows to east. Single storey link building, possibly a shippon, to further 2
storey range to north with rear wall built into bank. Wing at right angles to north
end has only door openings and may have been loose boxes. This farm was part of the
Polsue Manor Estate.
