Former rectory, now sub divided. Early C18 and early C19
refronted in late C19 and partly refenestrated in C20. North
or garden front has C18 centre of ashlar and west wing early
C19 of coursed rubble and tiled roof. Brick chimneystacks.
Centre part of 2 storeys with 3 12-pane sashes with thick
glazing bars in stone architraves with keystones. Doorcase has
stone architraves but modern door. Early C19 half-hipped gable
to west of 2 storeys and attics, 1 window. Stone coping with
kneelers. Attic window is casement in moulded architrave, 1st
floor window is 16-pane sash, ground floor has 5 light late
C18 bay. East wing late C19 but in matching shape and
materials to west wing. South or main front is late C19, of
stone rubble with ashlar dressings. 2 central gables with 2
mullioned windows (4-light on 1st floor) and obtusely pointed
arched doorcase with hoodmoulding. The wings are set back.
Originally the rectory was the central part, in the early C19
and parish rooms were built on to the west and later in the
century the east wing was built on as a service wing while the
living accommodation was extended at the front.
