Abbey (formerly listed with
Abbey Farmhouse as Oast
House)
II
To the south west of the Abbey Farmhouse. Medieval, remodelled C19 and C20. The
warming house of the Abbey stood here, and the ground floor of the surviving
building was probably part of that building. This is of ashlar. Then it was
converted into 2 square oasthouses, a granary and cart-shed, which in turn have been
converted into a house. The ground floor of the house is recessed on the north side
behind the wooden columns of the cart-shed. The first floor above is weather-
boarded. At the back the first floor is red brick. Tiled roof. 2 storeys. 3
windows.
