Pair of houses, now shops. Late C18-early C19. Painted brick
with brick gable and cross axial stacks and a tiled roof, and
stone verges to the rear.
Each of 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range. Outer
3-centre-arched doorways with C20 doors, good early C19
shallow bowed oriel shop windows with glazing bars.
First-floor windows blocked above the doorways, with 6/6-pane
sashes, and a single right-hand C20 dormer with 3/6-pane sash.
Rear has ground-floor 6/6-pane sash with thick bars, and a
hipped dormer.
INTERIOR altered; No.31 has a winder stair against the stack
to the attic with stick balusters. Roof restored mid C20.
