Circa 1600 (slightly later extension to NE). Former Manor House. Deeply coursed
finely dressed stone. Quoins to later part. Continuous drip mouldings between
floors to all elevations except south-west. Pronounced plinth. Stone slate
roof.Gable copings (chamfered). Stone finials. 3 stacks (rendered) or single
base. 2 storeys and attic. Main part of house has large crossing to south-
west and smaller, 2 storey gabled porch to SE and NW elevations. Original
windows are double chamfered and most have hood-mould with decorative return.
NW elevation. Main entrance, in 2 storey gabled porch, is slightly arched
with chamfered reveals. 3-light window to first floor. To right is 7-light
mullioned and transomed window to ground floor, with 7-light stone mullioned
window to First floor. The projecting cross using to far right has 2, 3
and 4 light stone mullioned windows, with 6-light mullioned and transomed
window at first floor level. At NE end roof continues to line of porch.
One single, one 3-light and one 2 light stone mullioned window. SE elevation
is similar to NW. The gable to the crossing has one 5-light mullioned and
transomed window to ground and first floor, with 2-light to attic. NE gable
and SW elevations both include original windows (2-light) and several recent
openings.
