Late C18/early C19. Stuccoed facade with quoins. Roof not visible. 3 storeys.
3 windows, segmental arches, those of 1st floor with keystones, sashes with glazing
bars (lower windows with modified opening). C20 shop front ground floor. Rear wing
of red brick. C18/early C19 facade, part irregular brick bond, part Flemish Bond.
Slates. 2 storeys, 4 windows, generally sashes with glazing bars and 1 early leaded
casement. Interior has timber framing in partitions between rooms, some of timbers
cut through, apparently when building heightened. Rear wing continues to form east
side of Aldwinckle's Yard. Red brick with timber upright in wall. 2 storeys circa
8 windows, end 2 in advanced cottage which terminates this range, windows generally
casements. Aldwinckle's Yard is the most complete example of the colonization of
a medieval burgage plot remaining in the town.
