SY 69 NE GODMANSTONE VILLAGE

4/68 Manor Cottage

GV II

Detached House. Early Cl8, much re-fashioned in mid Cl9. Knapped flint and
banded stone walls, dressed stone quoins. Corrugated iron roof, with stone
gable-copings and moulded kneelers boxed wooden eaves. Brick stack at left
hand gable, and at ridge right of centre. 2 storeys. 3 windows, with stone
dressings to ground floor windows and brick dressings above. (Mullions formerly
to ground floor. ) 3-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing-bars, wooden
cills, C20. Two doors, main entry, right of centre, flush-panelled with 2 top
lights, Mid Cl9. Gabled canopy on 2 chamfered posts. Door at left hand,
flush-panelled with 4 top lights, wooden porch with a shingle roof. Continuous
outshut at rear, with corrugated iron roof over. 2 stone-framed mullions with
C20 casements inserted.
