Large house, probably late C16. Well coursed rubble, with stone tiled roof.
2 storeys with attics in gables. Main facade of 8 bays (1:4:1) with
symmetrical outer projecting gables continuing 4-light mullioned and transomed
windows with king mullions and moulded architraves and 2-light mullions to
attics. Additional small windows to inner face of gables. In the central
range, the door is to the left in a moulded stone architrave with a steeply
pointed pediment above. 3 2-light stone mullioned and transomed windows
right of it, with moulded architrave; and hoodmoulds forming a string course.
Two axial stacks and one projecting on right hand gable wall. Rear also
has outer projecting gables, and an additional lower coped gabled projection
on inner side of left hand gable, which forms a porch, and contains a 3-light
mullioned window. Large projecting stack right of it. Flat timber lintels
to rear windows. Tall outshut runs between the porch and the right hand
gable, and contains 1 mullioned window and a large 4-light mullioned and
transomed window.

Interior has one room lined with C.17 oak panelling and cornice, and an early
C18 fitted corner cupboard with round arched doors. A massive 4 centred
arched Tudor fireplace in Main Hall, with gadrooned frieze and cornice.
2 4-centred arched doorways off the passage, with chamfered jambs: formerly
external or service-end doors. Large oak staircase, probably early C17,
though possibly moved into this house at a later date, and housed in the
rear outshut. Heavy squared newels and turned balusters.
