Early C16, refronted in C18. Called "Redd Lyon Inne" in 1577. Two storeys,
colourwashed roughcast, three sash windows. Ground floor has from left
to right, an early C19 shop front inserted in 1838 consisting of door
to left with glazing bars and similar rectangular fanlight and shallow
canted shop window with glazing bars, frieze, cornice and slender panelled
pilasters. To right hand is a central door with pilasters frieze and cornice
flanked by a sash window each side with flush panelled shutters. Steep
slate roof. Side elevation has exposed timber framing and old leaded window.
Nos 9 to 17 (odd), King William IV Public House and No 21 form a group.
