5.5.76 The Old Manse

Small house. Early C18, extended and partly rebuilt, Timber
studding with whitewashed plaster infill to west,brick to rear,
rubble stone to original gable walls. Thatched roof, half-hipped
to north, brick end stacks. 1½ storeys, 3 bays. 3-light leaded
casements, those to first floor under thatch eyebrows. Central
door in C2O gabled porch with leaded casements to sides. C19
and C20 extensions to both gables, full height to left, single
storey with tiled roof to right, both rendered and whitewashed
with some brick exposed in street gable end.
