House, now inn. Probably C17 with later alterations. Timber-frame, rendered
sandstone rubble, Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. Rectangular plan with
main elevation to north-east. Two storeys and attic. North-east elevation
has 1:2 windows, glazing bar sashes except for 2-light mid-C19 casement to
attic of gable front which has exposed framing comprising six rows of square
panels between cill and tie-beam with V-struts to apex. Entrance in gabled
late C19 porch with 6-panelled door to right of gable front. Interior has
heavy ceiling beams. (RCHM, Vol I, p 88).
