Cottage. Circa late C17 or early C18. Coursed ironstone rubble with
rendered front and east gable. Gable end stacks with later brick
shafts. Slate roof with gabled ends.
PLAN: 2-room plan; larger left hand kitchen and smaller parlour to
right both heated from gable end stacks; central entrance directly
into left room. Single storey service wing added behind left room.
EXTERIOR: 2 storey. Not quite symmetrical 2-window south front.C19 2-
light casements with glazing bars; ground floor right 3-light
casement. Central doorway with plank door. Blind rear wall with
vertical joint in masonry to right. Small single storey painted stone
and brick rear wing to right with gable-ended slate roof.
INTERIOR: Larger left hand room has chamfered axial beams with runout
stops and large fireplace with chamfered cambered timber lintel
covered by mantel shelf with shaped brackets; inside fireplace smaller
chimneypiece and flanking cupboards with panelled doors. Smaller right
hand room has chamfered axial beams with runout stops. Plank and
panelled doors. C20 roof structure.

House. C17 or earlier remodelled in C18 and C19. Coursed ironstone
rubble. Thatched roof with gabled ends. Gable end and axial stacks
with later brick shafts.
PLAN: 2-room plan with end stacks, central entrance lobby and
staircase at back; later circa C18 1-room plan extension on left
(west) end with outshut at rear.
EXTERIOR: 1 storey and attic. 3-window south front, the left end the
extension. First floor has 3 large C19 3-light casements with glazing
bars and small gables over with shaped bargeboards with pendants.
Ground floor right 2 later C19 canted bay windows with sashes and
central doorway with glazed door, panelled reveals and C20 glazed
porch. Ground floor left glazed door and C20 porch and C20 window. At
rear C20 outshut on left.
INTERIOR: C18 and C19 joinery. Centre and right hand rooms have
plastered axial beams. C18 fielded 2-panel door at top of stairs.
Attic chambers ceiled but tie-beam and purlins exposed and what
appears to be cruck truss at centre with light scanning tim frame
partition.
