GV II

House, now nursing home. C18 with later alterations. Brick, stone
dressings, hipped Welsh slate roof and brick end stacks. Rectangular plan
facing south-east with service wing to north corner. Cellar and three
storeys. South-east elevation has 3:1 windows, glazing bar sashes under
gauged brick heads, two-storey part to right, canted late C19 ground floor
bay windows to left and right of main three-storey part between which is
6-panelled door and fanlight under wrought iron porch with glazed hipped
roof, stone strings between storeys, stone cornice. Return elevation to
left has dentilled brick eaves cornice. Attached to north corner is an
early C19 domestic outbuilding in sandstone with segmentally headed casements,
one of three lights and two of two lights and raking-top dormers with casements.
